2. cathartic (ADJ.) - The purification and purgation of emotions--- especially pity and fear--- through art or any extreme change in emotion that results in renewal and restoration.

Sentence:

  • The facial at Araya Rebirth was cathartic for me.
  • Meditating is very cathartic to many people, it really cleanses the soul.
