Lucky Me

by Cindy Callaghan

After breaking a chain letter, can superstitious Megan find a way to turn her luck around?

Meghan McGlinchey is the most superstitious girl in her family—and probably in the entire state of Delaware. When she receives a chain letter from a stranger in Ireland, Meghan immediately passes it on, taking only a tiny shortcut in the directions.

But after a disastrous day, made complete by losing the election for class president and embarrassing herself in front of the entire school, Meghan realizes that tiny shortcut was a big mistake. Thankfully, her family was already headed to Ireland on spring break, and Meghan makes it her mission to find the original sender and break her extremely unlucky streak.

With the help of an eccentric cast of characters—and one very cute Irish boy—can Meghan figure out a way to stop her bad luck? Or is she cursed forever?

  1. I really liked the book Lucky Me by Cindy Callaghan. It had lots of adventure when Meghan was trying to find all the links to the chain letter to reverse her bad luck. I also liked how each character she met added something to the story and they each had a different personalty. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure.

  2. Lucky Me was as good as Cindy Callaghan's other books - Lost in London and Just Add Magic. It is about a girl who gets a chain letter from her long lost cousin and instead of mailing it out to others she emails it instead. This brings her bad luck and you will want to read what happens next to see if she is able to stop this bad luck. I'm already looking forward to reading Cindy's next book, Lost in Paris.

  3. The book, Lucky Me, was an excellent book! The lesson I learned from this book, was that chain letters don't bring good luck. Everyone creates their own luck. The main characters, Megan, has to go on an adventure and save her luck. Along the way Megan meets family and friends that she treasures. At the end of the book, Megan discovers that she always had 'luck'. I loved this book, and can't wait to read another book by Cindy Callaghan.
