Twlight

Stephenie Meyer

Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Isabella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Isabella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife-between desire and danger.Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

  1. Twilight, by Stephenie Meyer, was a book that I didn't enjoy. While I like mysteries and suspense books, this was more of a love story with vampires. I'm not a fan of vampires in general, and maybe that is why I didn't enjoy this book. I know a lot of people loved the series, but the whole idea of a vampire in love with a regular human isn't the type of plot I want to read about. I don't like the fighting and temptation of the vampire wanting to suck his girlfriend's blood all the time. Even though I didn't like this book, I'm sure that many other people who like love stories and drama will enjoy this series.

  2. The book Twilight is about a girl named Bella. She moves to a new town to be with her dad for a while. Her parents are divorced, but her mom is getting remarried. In this new town, Forks, she meets some pretty interesting people. For one thing, she meets Edward Cullen. Edward is in her science class and is gorgeous, just like all of his siblings. At first Edward he doesn't like Bella because he suspected that she was different. But what Bella didn't know was that Edward had a secret too. Edward and his siblings were vampires. Bella starts to get suspicious when Edward saves her from a car crash. She was about to get hit when he comes in at super speed and pushes her out of the way. He then lifts the car away from her with super strength. While Bella is in the hospital with scratches and bruises, Edward is perfectly fine. Not a scratch on him. However, Edward and his family become very important when they are fighting to save Bella's life from another vampire. But this one is different. He hunts people while the Cullen's hunt animals. Since Bella is human and Edward is a vampire, their love is forbidden. This doesn't stop them from trying.
Another important person Bella meets in Forks is Jacob Black. He is an old family friend of theirs who Bella reunites with on a trip to the beach with her friends. Edward is jealous of him even though Bella insists that he means nothing. Jacob is younger than Bella but is very knowledgeable. He knows all of the old stories and myths of Forks and, of course, the story of the story of the Cullen vampires is one of them. However, this version is slightly different than the one Bella knows. Jacob's dad is a very strong believer that the Cullens are evil and bad. He has a sense that they are dating when Charlie, Bella's dad, has no idea. He is just trying to protect her when he says that they are bad, but Bella takes it offensively.
The two characters, Edward and Jacob, have quite a conflict in the book and it is a great mystery. I would recommend it to anyone who likes suspense, mystery, or romance.
